New Pet/Puppy/Kitten Wellness Checks — An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Your first visit with your new pet, whether young or old, is dedicated to covering any questions you may have about housing, training, behaviour, diet, and care. During this time, we will establish a rapport with your pet that is sure to endure!.
Annual vaccinations — Have cert, can travel.
Vaccine protocols are tailored to the specific needs of your pet. Whether you hunt with your dog or travel across the country with your cat, we can make vaccination recommendations to specifically suit your pet’s lifestyle dependent upon the risks they may encounter. Some diseases are of zoonotic importance; they can be transmitted to certain people. Allow me to advise!
Geriatric — Is your Fido getting feeble; is Felix feeling the pinch?.
Sometimes your older pet doesn’t need any vaccines but may be acting lethargic, or slowing down, or behaving strangely. These may be early warning signs to underlying diseases or ailments. Schedule an appointment to discuss your pet’s changing lifestyle and screen for any problems.
Presurgical — There are no minor surgeries, merely minor surgeons.
If your pet has not been seen by me within the previous 2 months, perhaps consider a presurgical physical exam. We can establish the health status of your pet before they go for their little sleep. These visits can often be scheduled on the morning of the procedure.
House Visits — Knock, Knock, who's there?.
House visits allow me to assess your pet in their normal surroundings; without the stress or anxiety of a trip in the car. If Fido or Sooty don't drive, then I can come to you!.
Client education — Help me to help you.
Many problems require additional time for consultation and questions. Allergies, behavioral problems such as inappropriate elimination, aggression, separation anxiety, seizures, pre-breeding exams or testing, or new puppy and kitten litter exams can be scheduled as longer appointments to allow more time. Occasionally, the owner can be the problem in the relationship!. I can also advise on any information you may have downloaded from the internet.
Pre-travel/health certificates — A world of travel possibilities.
Commercial airlines often require official documentation of a physical exam called a health certificate before travel within Europe and beyond. I have certified animals to travel to North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. All countries will have their own requirements. Please ask for advise.
X ray and ultrasound examinations — Our window into the unknown.
I have the technology to perform untrasound and x ray examinations and use the latest equipment and techniques. I can perform health and pregnancy exams with the latest in digital ultrasound technology. Ultrasound is a vital diagnostic tool for companion animal practice in the 21st century.
